Against the grain
Just wanted to say hello. Hi!
Den. Moderate Dairy Allergy, with many other contact allergies. I get excema on my hand and IBS-like symptoms when I consume milk/dairy products. Soy and eggs seem to be ok. After attempting to manage my eczema and only reaching a certainly point with it (avoiding known contact irritants), I went DF one day and the eczema began to clear up and my IBS symptoms are nearly non-existent. (go figure! *g*) I feel SO much better, but am just so anxious for my eczema to continue to clear up. It isn't helping that I also recently had a wretched reaction to homemade Goat's Milk Soap, so I'm waiting on that to clear up as well. (I'm in the itchy as it heals stage, which I think is nearly as bad as the itchy from a break out stage)
Patience has never been a strong suit of mine. ;-)
I did have a question though. We camp a LOT in the summer time and we usually eat pot luck style with the other campers. Obviously that won't be an option for me, so what are some easily portable DF food items I can take with me? (We do have a camper, so space/refrigeration is not an issue)
